When I was still a kid I knew I would draw and paint for life. As other children of my age, I spent a lot of my time drawing; perhaps mores. My parents always encouraged me in my hobby and people in my surrounding found I did great for my age. After 1991, circumstances were such that I forsook drawing and painting, the education system at that time was set to let no child develop something in any facet of Art.
In 1997 I was given the opportunity to get back to Art at school and Art became one of my favorite subjects. Beside at school I also practiced painting as a side activity. For 3 years I did mostly gouache painting and some pencil drawing. In the year 2000, I refused to forsake painting, to solely concentrate on academic studies once more and decided to join the workshop of master Anil Bundhoo with another friend of mine. This was when I really started to study the aspects & techniques of drawing and painting. I began with watercolor and quickly moved to pastels (which till date remains my favorite technique) and acrylics. Until 2004 I specialized myself in portraiture with pastels.
