Studying and knowing oneself is one never ending quest.
What's the balance in describing yourself without boasting too much or, not being too modest? Ever since I came to know myself, describing myself in any form has been a difficult task. Well, my name is Rakesh, my wants or perception of what I want keep changing every now and then.
I live on the beautiful island of Mauritius. My love for my island includes my family, my friends, my dog Maximo, beaches and resplendent interior of Mauritius.
I am a Web Engineer, my focus so far has been in developing web solutions in PHP & JQuery. I have also had the opportunity to design web site/newsletter templates and logo during my short (3 years) working experience in the field. I try to keep as much as I can, with the pace of fast moving web technologies. My latest template includes this blog theme which I've customized from the watermark blogger template (hope you'll like it !).
My favorite hobby includes drawing and painting, photo manipulation/effects on Photoshop, listening to music and the Internet in general, my genre being rock, soft rock and electronica among some others. I used to read a lot back in time, but with the advent of the Internet at a price I could finally afford, I read quite less now. My favorite book of all time is the Lord of the Rings (actually my favorite movie as well). I've much appreciated Harry Potter 5 & 6.
My favorite channel of all time is National Geographic and have keen interest in general astronomy, physics & biology as well as ancient civilizations.
I desire to succeed more in the Web field, be better at portraiture and a good marine artist and learn photography.
